Zemus knows very well how to cover lies in pieces of the truth. The factual information on this page is all true — Ben being the grandson of Zemi gives him the potential of Sygnus. Which is a very valid reason to keep Ben in Zot now that his family is dead…
…of course, Zemus is still leaving out the fact that Ben’s family is dead because Zemus killed them. But that’s besides the point, eh?
Kip looks pretty troubled at the mention of Sygnus. And he has a good reason to be. Too bad I haven’t gotten far enough in writing my stories Dreigiau and Darkstar to offer you points of reference to the dark times the first Sygnus brought into the world. Let’s just say, at this point, Sygnus isn’t called a “Darkstar” for nothing.
Shimmer will touch on the legends of Sygnus eventually. But it’ll be a while in coming. All we have now is hints and lies wrapped in truth from the mouth of Zemus.
