Tane seems to come off as your typical money-grubbing merc, but there’s a reason behind his drive for money that’s more than just self interest. Valice is, indeed, the more cautious of the group — she may have sensed a hint of Kip’s mind mage powers back when she met him in Mysidia, but just doesn’t know what it was that she sensed (due to the fact mind mages don’t exist among the human race). And Rubin… well… what you see is what you get with him.
