Cecil was born a peasant in Mysidia -- with a Human mother and Lunarian father. Unexplained events left him an orphan in Baron Castle and unaware of his true heritage. As he grew older, his battle skills were recognized and Cecil was taken into training to be a Dark Knight. Cid, the Master Engineer, acted as his father-figure. His closest childhood friends were Rosa and Kain.
Proving to be one of the most skilled swordsmen in the kingdom, Cecil rose quickly in the ranks of knighthood. Having spent much time in Cid's workshop, he also came to have great knowledge of Airships. This experience eventually granted him the position as Captain of the Red Wings, which gave him command of the powerful Baronian airship fleet. However, when Cecil objected to the orders of leading a raid on the country of Mysidia, he was banished from Baron.... and thrown onto a quest to turn darkness into light. His journey led him to the peaks of Mt. Ordeals where he vanquished his dark sword and received the powers of the Holy Paladin Knight. Cecil was named leader of the Chosen Heroes fought against the destructive forces of Zeromus.
Upon their victory, Cecil parted ways with his new-found family -- Golbez and FuSoYa. Returning to the Kingdom of Baron, he was chosen by the people to rule as their new King. Not long after, he and Rosa were married upon the throne. Since then, Cecil has worked tirelessly to provide aid to the devastated countries of the Blue Planet as well as rebuild and expand his own kingdom.
Due to Cecil's good-natured spirit, he is a King that is greatly beloved by his people. His dedication to his wife Rosa is legendary. His duty to his position is second to none. Having been raised as a soldier, he can often come off as rather reserved and stiff. It is for this reason that his sense of humor, when shown, tends to take people off guard.
The heart of an adventurer still sleeps within the young Paladin. The pressure and politics that come with being a king sometimes grow suffocating upon his free-spirit.
- Cecil can tap into the sacred energies of Soul, which are the Paladin's powers. Though not a lot is known of such abilities, this does allow him to cast minor Healing Magics.
- Ever since he was a child, Cecil would sometimes have images in dreams that could foretell events of the near future.
Legend - A blade of powerful Soul magic, the
twin to Onyx Darkblade. It was created by Cecil's father, KluYa. The spirit of the Paladin flows in this holy blade and it cannot
be used to harm, only protect. It holds great destructive
magics against undead creatures and things of dark natures.
Inscribed upon the blade is the Mysidian Legend.
