Progress Report: Project OMEGA
The third series of alterations seem to have been successfully integrated into the living specimen. We will be proceeding with the final operations after two weeks of keeping O.M.E.G.A. under constant observation for means of gathering data. I do not foresee any hindrances in the schedule, however. It is very interesting how resilient the people of the Lunarian blood tend to be. Their systems are much more flexible in accepting outside genetic alterations than their human counterparts are. The sheer strength of mind power that they possess is astounding, which makes for excellent samples to conduct magic enhancing and power storage experiments.
The only downfall I have seen so far is the Lunarians’ small physical stature. However, this has been successfully overcome in the O.M.E.G.A. project, even against my greatest doubts. We have managed to add both height and strength to the build of the subject through a series of biological alterations, despite the fact that the subject was already grown to the full adult stature that is normal to average Lunarian male.
The telexenic metal plates that we have bolted into various areas of the subject’s body have been highly successful in both conducting and storing large amounts of ether energy that the subject would not have naturally been able to control. The properties of this metal are completely unknown to any of my studies. But Master Zemus demanded that these plates only be crafted from this material. He noted that there was some sort of ability to conduct and control power flows on the “Arweinydd” plane – though I am unfamiliar with this term and none of my searches have returned any enlightenment on the topic.
After the final stage of alterations are completed, O.M.E.G.A. will be placed into long-term cold sleep where his thought processes will be monitored and conditioned to Master Zemus’ liking. I feel it is shameful that O.M.E.G.A. should only be developed as nothing more than an auxiliary weapon – it would make a very splendid addition to our growing army, indeed.
However, Master Zemus’ orders are such. And as of this point, project O.M.E.G.A. is far too mentally unstable to be left functioning in a normal, day-to-day environment. Therefore, it is probably the best course of action.
