>>quickie note..this poem is about Golbez (okay, so that one's easy to figure out), and a sort of "what if" scenario. Be warned it is a sad poem based on the theory that the human half of Golbez would drive him to resist leaving the blue planet behind.
----------------------------------------------------

A blue gem fades into velvet darkness..
I stand alone in cold halls...
The ache within growing no less...
Thus my farewell unheard falls...
"Goodbye, brother..."

I turn my eyes from a night like no other-
Before me now lies the home of my father.
Yet I find myself wishing for the home of my mother-
A longing that bids me return before I stray farther..
"Goodbye, brother..."

Further we travel through this night-
Time has little meaning here-
This ancient palace gleams so bright-
But it pales compared to the light I hold dear.
"Goodbye, brother..."

A pointless longing I know-
Never to that world can I return-
Yet still does it call to me so...
For a world full of life I yearn...
"Goodbye, brother..."

I am alone in this ancient palace..
All others are in their ageless sleep-
Resting amid crystals who's cold light is so callous-
They lack the warmth the sun does keep.
"Goodbye, brother..."

A long sleep I knew it would be-
My uncle had warned me so-
But that sleep is not for me-
Their near eternal dream I cannot know.
"Goodbye, brother..."

My steps turn to the window once more-
Though the blue gem has long left my sight-
Despair and longing spread dark wings and soar-
And I surrender myself to the night...
"Goodbye brother...forever."
