LOVELY LADY DRESSED IN GREEN
(FFIV)
Down the aisle she walks towards me,
That lovely Lady dressed in green.
Sun lends her hair a brilliant gleam
And sparkles waltz on her cloak seam.
Suede heel boots tread carpet floor;
Hence she arrives on through the door.
Her silken raiment-wings do poor
To hide the slender waif I adore.
A flash of gold, a gleam in her eye,
She nods to me and curtly smiles.
Those men like me will melt and cry,
For beauty's not deceived, ere we try.
She stands now in the throne room still.
The Woman in green now stirrs nil.
Should I be bold and test my charm's skill,
I just might speak and go after my kill.
Lovely Lady dressed in green,
Be not brazen, brash, nor mean.
Give me a moment to give life to my plea,
Let the King of Eblan grow closer to thee.
