Final Fantasy IV: The War of the Crystals

Someone once told me that if you ever want to free your mind, you should take up writing. I figured, what the hell, why not? It seemed like a good idea at the time, but then came the question of what to write. Poetry was my first love, but I soon fell into fanfiction with just as much passion. But of course, then came the question of what to write about. Why not Final Fantasy II/IV? I've loved the game since I was a kid, and still play it to this day. I connected with it for some reason, possibly because I was just a kid, and knights and castles and flying boats seemed so cool, but even now I simply find myself in awe each time I play through it. So that was it. Final Fantasy IV it would be.

So here you are, hopefully about to read my interpretation of how things went down on the Blue Planet starting from that fateful mission to Mysidia, and hopefully about to enjoy it (i can't guarantee anything). I'm a poet at heart, so sometimes I might get lost in some thought and drag it on for miles, and leave something else that may be just as important with nil. That's just the way it comes out on the page, and I'll probably end up changing it later anyways. I'm definitely my own worst critic, and I'll sit down and kick my own arse over something that others may think is quite good. I like everything to be perfect, but we all know nothing is ever perfect. I do like staying as true to the story as I possibly can, as well as taking liberties during scenes that either need the liberation, or scenes that we simply do not get to see. Though I try to stray a bit sometimes, Cecil is the main focus of this novel, as he is in the game, which some may like and some may not. You will see more of his personality here than others, but I do try my best to give everyone their own shining aura. I do hope you will enjoy this, and if you ever have any comments or critiques then I will be more than happy to take them. If anything, I need the observation of others' eyes or else I'd never get anything finished. I'd be sitting behind a computer screen, pulling my hair out while I try to figure out just what's wrong with the latest chapter. ::::sigh:::: so is life. But enough of all that. As long as you get some form of pleasure from reading this, then I'll be happy. Enjoy!
